Maxx HD wont update

Hey guys,

I keep getting the annoying your phone will be updated popup. My maxx hd is rooted, and ive temp unrooted it via voodoo and it downloads and goes into the triage and restarts within a second. After it restarts it says update failed...What gives?

If you've done anything that changed something in the system partition, the update will fail. Deleting any bloatware, for example.

Trust me... You don't want the new update.

Btw...If you want to disable the notifications just disable Motorola services..

Thanks for the quick replies guys. And Robert what's wrong with the new updates? I'm hoping it could help with some battery related issues

My phone hasn't been running right since the new update. Freeze ups... Rebooting for no reason... And showing 4g much more often but Sometimes when I try to use the internet there is no data connection and nothing happens at all??

Last night I cleared the cache partition in stock recovery.. And so far everything seems to be running OK... but if these Post Update problems persist I'm going to do an FDR.

Just a FYI a lot of people have run this update with no issues. If you aren't concerned with root or ROMs the new update sports a new radio and security enhancements.

Mine hangs at the Droid EYE and stays there until the battery drains Verizon is shipping me a warranty replacement.

After spending some time talking with Verizon today they are sending me a warranty replacement as well... This makes Razr Maxx HD #3 for me.
