razr turns itself to vibrate

my razr xt910 turns by itself to vibrate mode even when i turn off vibration and turn off sound with volume keys. What to do? i turned off vibration in settings. android 4.1.2

Do you mean that the phone vibrates when it rings or gets an SMS? There is a specific setting in the SMS menus that enable vibrate for a new message. Not certain on ringer.

Are you using any Smart Actions?

no, i turned off smartactions, i turned off vibration but sometimes when check my phone i see wibrate icon in bar, but it should be turned off volume.

I have this same problem quite frequently. With mine, I can turn on the sound when I wake up as I turn it onto vibe at night. AFTER I turn the sound back on, after I receive a text or a phone call and answer either one, the phone automatically goes back to vibe so I have to constantly turn the sound back on! I usually just power off the phone and power it back on after screwing with the sound 4-5 times and that seems to fix it for awhile!

No, I don't use smart actions. I tried once and they didn't fit my schedule. It only happens about once a month or so and after I turn the ringtone back on 4-5 times I just power down and up my phone and that seems to solve the issue until next time.
