i got my razr for christmas and i cant yahoo mail to work right on it . at first i got some emails . so factory reset then i got email my my contacts on mail to send to wouldnt show up so i tried to delete yahoo mail and it wouldnt let me so i did a factory reset two times and it wont recieve any yahoo mail and now it wont even show the messages i kept .

I have used k9 mail for some time. Works great for my ymail. Never had a prob.

I use the Yahoo Mail app, Gmail app, and Hotmail app. No problems with any of them. I have several email accounts on my phone, and I like to keep them separate, so I use all the of the mail apps as well as 2 apps called "Enhanced Mail" and "Touchdown". This way I get several notifications, and can shut down ones I don't want to see, ect.

That's funny. I just realized that I don't even use the default mail app that comes on the phone.

Also, one other thing, the last time I did use the default mail app, is was difficult to locate old messages. I don't know if the update solved this problem, but that's another reason for not using it.

I just upgraded from the original droid x to the razr maxx. With the DX, all my yahoo special mail folders (like 18 of them) would show up on the stock phone messaging app. But now on the razr, the only folders I see are inbox, sent, outbox, and trash for all my yahoo email accounts. That means all my messages combined in all the 18 folders are lumped into inbox. Sure I can choose how i want to view as in recent, importance, attachments, etc. but that doesnt really help. So to find individual filed emails in the folders I would have to search or use the web app. In addition, I cant even move any emails from the razr messaging app to any other folder but the inbox or sent. Has anyone else seen this or is there a way to get my folders with the stock messaging app like my old DX (froyo). Maybe its just going to take some time to load them all so they are sorted properly. Any help appreciated.
Follow up note: Still hasn't downloaded my yahoo folders on my main yahoo account. I tried looking around email settings. This must be the way it is with GB since I stayed with Froyo on the DX. I went ahead and downloaded the yahoo mail android app from the market so I can work within my folders. I hope the ICS update will solve this problem because the one messaging center was nice to work out of for all emails.

My Yahoo Email messages read on the computer show as unread on the Razr (not synced). I did not have this problem with 3 previous android phone.
