Waiting To Upload

For several days I have a symbol in my notification screen that shows a square with an upward pointing arrow in the center along with what appears to be a small gray clock in the lower right of the box. The symbol is accompanied by two varying comments. If the Wi-Fi is off it will say "Waiting for wi-fi". When the wi-fi is on it says "Remote Device Offline".

I'm sure this must have something to do with one of the cloud services I'm using but I cannot track down the culprit and I'm getting sick of seeing this all the time (not to mention I suspect it is draining battery as it keeps attempting to find a way to upload).

Any suggestions?

Check to see what apps are running in the background... my initial thought would be motocast and it may be set to replicate any photos you take to your Pc.

I checked the running services and didn't see one called Motocast. Tried force stopping some of the storage services that were running (Box, Dropbox) but the notification didn't go away. It also doesn't go away when powering down-back up. Then I used Go Task Manager to kill running apps. It is still there.

Restart your phone, and then give us a list of all of your running processes?

I've tried killing each one of these - nothing has changed the notification status.

I had issues on my RAZR back than too.
Wifi took a reboot just to connect and disconnect. If I didn't, it would say Error
Airplane Mode would connect but wouldn't disconnect so I had to do (not one) but TWO reboots to disconnect it

Idk, this might not work (I totally doubt that it'll work)
But worth a try

try wiping cache and dalvik cache in recovery, it might take long to boot up if u wiped dalvik

Redtarget you were right. I must have set something in mot theocast with my home network. Once I w ent into the all and activated the device the upload finished. Thanks

Okay, to start with, you can un-install the Location Agent. It actually isn't compatible with this phone.

Even though it is not listed as running, I want you to try something for me.

Go to -->Gallery -->Settings-->MotoCast Setting-->MotoCast auto upload settings

If there is anything checked, uncheck it and reboot. It nothing is checked, check them all, reboot and then go back in and uncheck, then reboot again.

Yeah that icon won't go away till you link up with the home network.. I for one think motocast is pretty effing awesome, I use it constantly
