I've been itching to try an ics rom big time. I tried an axiom rom once and couldn't get data for the life of me. I even went to McDonald's to use their free wifi to set it up and nothing so I'm a lil skeptical about these roms. I got some nerve to try the gummy and got a blank screen even tho I followed directions to a t. Do some of these function only on bootstrap or does it matter because part of me still wants to try one of these roms. Which one is up for grabs.

That's the nice thing about a rooted device... you can give a few roms a shot and then see what you like best. I used to be a crack flasher when I had my Tbolt and OG Droid... but with the Razr I haven't felt the need as of yet. However I've tried about every rom that is available and what I try to do is run them for 3-4 days providing that they don't have major problems. It seems that after a 3-4 day period you should have a good idea of if it's going to work for you or not. Bootstrap or safestrap shouldn't matter... that's usually just personal preference.

That sounds about right. I guess it really doesn't hurt to play around with a few roms. I'm on eclipse now and have been since I flashed it several weeks back. Its the most stable rom I've tried (I couldn't get razrx to operate) so I guess I didn't feel like starting over but the ics roms keep calling me lol
