XT910 stuck in Fastboot (Flash Failure)!

    Hey guys,

    I have a Razr XT910 running a Retail.en.EU version of 4.1.2 JB. I recently rooted the device.

My phone was working correctly until it ran out of battery. I connected the phone to a power phone and it began charging. When it had enough battery, I turned it on, but the LED was flashing red and it didn't boot. I did a factory reset, still didn't work. I contacted a developer and he told me to reflash JB. I use RSD to flash files, but this time, it gave the following failure: Failed flashing process. 1/10 flash cdt.bin "cdt.bin_signed" -> Phone returned FAIL. I also tried with other files. This is the first time that happens.

Then the phone proceeded to get stuck on Fastboot, stating the following:

AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Flash Failure)
    0A.6C
To return to normal mode - first press power key to power down

Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0

    Battery OK
    Ok to program
    Transfer Mode:
    USB Connected

I can get into the stock recovery, but I can't continue.

I tried to find the solution on many sites, but I can't understand what to do. I'm a noob in this and don't know how to do much stuff. I would appreciate a very detailed instruction on how to fix my phone, so I can follow it correctly.

Thanks in advance for the help, I really need it.

How full was your battery when you started this process? If the battery dies when the phone does not have an operating system on it, it may be dead without a factory data cable. Plugging it in while in AP Fastboot mode will NOT charge it, either.

I would verify that you have the proper SBF files that your are using with RSD Lite. Verify the hash for the files as well and try SBF again.

I had a similar situation with my XT912 where it got stuck and couldn't boot when I tried to flash a JB leak. The battery died and I thought it was lost forever, but I did eventually get it going (long story, the linked thread has all the details).

When in Fastboot, you should be able to shut it down to save battery.

My battery was 60%, it was not because the phone ran out of battery.

Regarding the SBF, I really don't know what that is, I followed a video on how to configure RSD, but they never spoke about SBF.

Sorry for the delay. SBF are the files that you actually flash with RSD Lite. It's the "image" of the phone's firmware.
