    Print out texts messages?

I have a guy that is harassing me and other women that are my friends. He has sent me text messages. The cops need the messages to hopefully get him away and they would prefer them on paper. However, I do need to get them printed off with the time stamp that he sent them on. I am clueless at the moment. Please help.

A quick way to do it would be to take a screen shot of your texts, email them to yourself or drop box them and print them from a computer.

Screen shot would be the most simple way, and wouldn't really require any additional software. There are apps that can export the messages to a variety of formats, most common would probably be a CSV or XML file, but those are basically raw data and are not really inteded for reading.

I would do like Cliff said and take screen shots (hold the volume down and power button together for about two seconds and then release, the screen will flash and probably make a camera noise, show the screen shot and then go away after a second or two. Repeat this for the messages you need to share with the police and then you can email them to yourself, or transfer them to your computer when connected via USB, etc.

Another way would be to email it to a computer for printing...

Long press the text message you want to print and select the email icon at the top of the screen. Type in the email address and then hit send. It will forward the text message to an email account. The problem with this is that you have to send each text line and lose the "setting" or "context", but you can rebuild it on the other end, if you need to.

It's interesting that Handcent doesn't seem to allow you to email your messages but the stock text application does. Unfortunately, the email option doesn't include the time/date stamp of the text, or the sender info, and I think the OP needed that for the authorities.
