some tell me how to put my voice mail password in so i don't have to all the time i did it on my old droid but can't get it to work
on the razr any help please thanks
From what I can tell, the default voicemail speed dial can not be altered. But if you create a new one with the information as follows, it should work
I use this: *86,,* followed by my 4 digit pin. If my pin was 1111 it would look like this: *86,,*1111
Hope this helps!
got that in there and looks the same but when i hit the voice mail icon to dial it just show *86
not my password and it don't dial it
That sounds about right as the voicemail speed dial is linked to *86 only and is not able to be changed.
There may be a way once rooted to change it, I haven't looked that far into it. Though I do have a speed dial set with the information in my previous post that will dial in and enter my password. Unfortunately you will be unable to just hit the voicemail button as it is unable to be edited.
settings > call settings > voicemail settings > clicking that brings up the voicemail speed dial, it will be *86. Just add two commas, your password, pound, so it looks like this (replace 1111 with your passwiord)
just hit the icon buttom on the home screen
Try going into voicemail either by long-pressing the 1 on the dialpad, or by clicking voicemail in the status bar pulldown. Both of those methods work, using the method I described.
I'm not sure why using the desktop icon doesn't work, I will look into it ...
